Memorial Day Mass and the Covered Bridge

IMG_2459Thought you’d like to see what we do each Memorial Day: attend mass at our little country church, St. Philomena here in Clermont County outside the church. The service is on the side entrance to one part of the cemetery.

The church, as you can see, is historic. My mom, dad and sis are buried there. IMG_2464

A little bit aways down from the church is another historical icon: our covered bridge.

Look at the inside structure: simple and sturdyIMG_2470Wouldn’t you like to live in this home facing the entrance too the bridge?

I hope each of you has a blessed and meaningful day, remembering and thanking our Lord for this great country and all those who gave their lives so that we could live ours.
