Found! Nalley’s French Onion Dip Clone

dscn3392It started with a request from reader Beth F., who lost my cloned recipe of Nalley’s French Onion Dip – an iconic dip no longer made by the company.  Anyway I lost the recipe, too – vanished into cyberspace when my original website vanished also.  Well, lo and behold reader Carol Ritter found hers and shared. “Great childhood memories at Christmas which I suspect was the only time we had such a decadent treat”, Carol said. Thanks, Carol!

NALLEY’S ONION DIP CLONE

Carol thought she added the lemon juice and honey, but I’m thinking she may have added the honey and balsamic, the last 2 ingredients. Either way, it’s yummy.

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 Cups sour cream
  • ¼ Cup Miracle Whip
  • ¼ Cup whipped cream cheese (the kind in the tub)
  • ½ teas lemon juice
  • Dash garlic powder
  • 1 teas honey
  • ¼ teas balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Mix together and refrigerate several hours.

Refrigerate several hours.
