Flank/Flat Iron Steak with Garlic, Honey, Soy Marinade

OK it’s nice to be back with you if just for a bit. As you may heard, my husband, Frank, had a very serious accident here at home and is now in rehab after almost 8 wks of back & frothing to hospital, rehab, etc.

I wanted to share a recipe I talked about with Matt Swaim on the Sonrise Morning Show today. I don’t have much time to digress, but I hope you try this and above all, love it! It works with just about any kind of steak.

FLANK/FLAT IRON STEAK WITH HONEY GARLIC SOY MARINADE

Ingredients

1 Flank steak, about 2 pounds

1/3 cup olive oil

3 nice cloves garlic, minced

3-4 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1/3 cup each: soy sauce and honey

Salt and pepper or even a shake of Canadian steak seasoning

Instructions

Mix marinade ingredients and pour over steak. Marinate in refrigerator 2 to 24 hours.

Grill over high heat for several minutes, then reduce heat to low or move to cooler part of the grill. Cover and grill until done to taste.
