Reader Jan posed this question: the turkey wings she found were huge and she wondered if I meant to use 4-6 whole or split – in other words, 2 whole wings split into halves, etc. I told her I would go with 4 whole if they are real big. You could go with 3 but to get a rich gravy I wouldn’t go with less than 3. Hope this helps. The reason I said 4-6 in an earlier post is that the wings I finally found were smaller than usual.
