I like to make this popcorn ball recipe because it’s easy-on-the-budget SO GOOD. I think you and your little ones will love these popcorn balls. Make it a family affair and let everyone make their own. To give out on Halloween, wrap in orange cellophane tied with black ribbon.
These make nice after school snacks, as well.
MARSHMALLOW POPCORN BALLS
2 tablespoons butter
10 oz mini marshmallow
2 teaspoons vanilla
10-12 cups popped corn, unsalted
1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup raisins
In a nonstick saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and cook until melted. Stir in vanilla. Combine popped corn, peanuts and raisins and pour melted marshmallow mixture over. Stir to combine. Work quickly since the marshmallow mixture tends to get hard as it cools down. Spray your hands if you like to prevent sticking. Let set until cool and firm.
- Spray bowl and spatula with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Leave nuts out or include your favorite.
- Substitute other dried fruit for the raisins.
