Cobblers can be made with just about any fruit. Really delicious eaten warm with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.
Cherry or any berry cobbler
I have made this with blueberries, blackberries and raspberries.
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
2 generous cups cherries or berries
Preheat oven to 375. In an 8” square or 2 quart baking dish, melt butter in oven. Carefully remove and set aside. Whisk flour, baking powder and sugar together. Add milk and stir until just combined. Pour batter into melted butter but don’t stir. Add fruit. Bake 30-40 minutes or until cake portion is golden.
