Invasive herbs

There are a few really invasive herbs in my herb garden. Every year I have to root them out, literally. Here’s what they are:DSCN7047                                                 Hops – even creeping out between the stones. I make lavender/hops pillows with                                          the hops and lavender  flowers for sleeping.

Sheep's head sorrel

Sheep’s head sorrel – the roots run underground. An ingredient in the famous Essiac cancer herbal treatment.

Soap wort - roots run underground

Soap wort – roots run underground. In olden days, the leaves were used to make a cleansing lather.
