Hah, I knew the title would grab you! A reader asked: “What are those growths inside of a bell pepper? Sometimes it looks like a tiny baby pepper, other times it looks just like a swirly or knobby white growth.”
No worries. It could actually be a sterile pepper forming inside the big bell. Yes, it’s edible.
And BTW, when you cut up a pepper, lay it SKIN SIDE DOWN.
The skin can be very slippery, and when you try to cut it with a knife, it could cause a nasty cut.
