Help our Children! Good Cause with Good Food

I am proud to belong to the American Culinary Federation of Greater Cincinnati. These multi-talented folks are among the first to raise funds for needy children here in the Tri-State.

Will I see you at their 4th annual Taste on August 17?  Here’s details.

The Children’s Hunger Alliance will host the 4th Annual Taste to Remember presented by Branicorp on Thursday, August 17 2017 from 7-9 pm at the 20th Century Theater located in Oakley. This delicious fundraiser benefits the important work of the Children’s Hunger Alliance and the scholarship fund of the American Culinary Federation of Greater Cincinnati.
Guests at this year’s extravaganza will enjoy samples from Cincinnati’s finest restaurants, wineries and distilleries, fabulous live entertainments, live and silent auctions, Fund a need moments and of course the competition for the coveted Golden Spoon Award. Joining us as Emcee is Fox19 morning anchor Kara Sewell.

Chef Lasorella, the Chair of the Pastry Program at the Midwest Culinary Institute  was a presenter at this years convention. Attendee’s to Betsy’s presentation on entremets walked away with a comprehensive understanding of the components of how to assemble entremets and got to sample one of Betsy’s delicious desserts.

Chef Newman, Pastry Instructor at the Midwest Culinary Institute competed for a spot on the ACF Culinary Team 2020. Kelsee’s talent, hard work, hours of practice and amazing desserts all paid off as she was awarded a sliver medal and earned a spot on the team!
