Hickory Nuts!

They say backdoor friends are best. So true where I live. Farmer Bruner from down the road gifted me with a 5 gallon bucket of hickory nuts.  Grandson Jack helped pull the outer skins off (they came off easily in 4 pieces – see them on the right above the whole hickory nut). Now the hard part: getting the nut out of that hard shell. Jack found a way……….with a brick paver.
