FYI: Garlic is best planted in fall. That way, by mid summer of the next year, it will  have grown. You’ll know it’s ready when the leaves start to die back.
Garlic has to “cure” in a cool, dry place outside for a couple of weeks.
Store just like you store potatoes, again in a cool, dry place.
