Best organic fertilizers

Spring is not far behind judging from the questions on my blog. Here’s a timely one from Joann, a reader who is an organic gardener, as well.

Do you have good choices for an organic fertilizer when planting herbs? Also, are you offering any herb gardening classes in Cincinnati?”

Friend and garden guru Ron Wilson replies, and I agree:

Organic fertilizers?  Espoma’s Garden Food is a granular.  They are also introducing their water soluble organic fertilizers this year as well.  Neptunes Fish Emulsion is a liquid (smells like fish!).  There are several companies with organic vegetable fertilizers available.  Good thing is herbs aren’t big feeders!

Now for my schedule through June:

Ron & Rita’s schedule for Spring 2016:

Cincinnati Flower Show April 13 – we open the show with our presentation: From Garden to Kitchen

Jungle Jims Fairfield: May 24 – our annual “cult” garden to kitchen class this year focusing on grilling from the garden

The Spicy Olive: April 27 West Chester store; June 14 Austin Landing store

Natorp’s Mason: Both Ron and Rita will be on hand to answer all your questions:

May 7, 14, 21, 22

Check out the above venues for times, etc.

I will also be at these libraries in Cinti/Clermont Cty as well:

Amelia library: April 19

New Richmond library: June 27
