Put this “stick” in your flour bin for easy measuring

OK so when I was making a pound cake today, I had to measure flour into a cup.

As I usually do, I whisk the flour a bit and then dip the cup into it. I also usually take a knife to smooth the top off. Today I used an old spatula handle which works better than a knife and is visible in the flour.

Then I had to add eggs to the batter, one at a time (you know how that is – incorporate one before adding the next) so I used my spouted glass liquid measuring cup to put the eggs in. That way,  I could pour one out at a time easily.
