If your basil is starting to flower or is leggy, cut it back. Use the cuttings in this tasty recipe. Adapted slightly from Dottie K. This is delish on sliced tomatoes or mixed greens. Dottie’s original recipe said 2 green onions, so go to taste on that. And no need to pack the basil leaves in the cup.

Ingredients

2 cups basil leaves

3/4 cup buttermilk

3/4 cup green onions, white and green parts, sliced

3/4 cup mayonnaise

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Put basil, buttermilk and onions in food processor and process until smooth.

Add mayonnaise and seasonings and process until mayonnaise is mixed in.

Dear Rita, Several weeks ago on this Natorp site you printed a simple but very tasty recipe for pork tenderloin. Would it be possible to have that recipe again? I forgot to copy it. My 19 year old grandson is learning to cook this summer( along with his. Grandfather) That pork was a winner, ea/y to make and he will be able to make himself at school in the fall. Thank you very much. K
