Wow – we’re cannin’ fools right now. The past few days we’ve been “putting up” jams, jellies, pickles, veggies and fruits. Here’s what we did over the weekend. The reason for the photo next to the sampling of canned items? That’s my Mom, Dad and siblings up to my older sister, Judy. There were 4 more of us born after that, my brother and the only boy, being last. Anyway, Mom was the one who taught me where the wild berries were, how to make easy pickled peppers, pickles soaked in lime for extra crunch, and so many other preserving tips and recipes.
